STEPPS group is a group curriculum to help develop effective coping skills for strong emotions and impulsive behaviors. The goal of STEPPS is to help people who are struggling with strong emotions to be able to feel more in control of their emotions and more able to effectively interact with others without triggering their own or others emotions in a negative way. The STEPPS curriculum is broken down into twenty weeks of excercises and homework. There are two age groups for the group, teenagers and adults. The groups are faciliatated by at least two clinical facilitators and are held in person.
